project part of a video workshop with artist Lamia Joriege.
the theme addressed by the workshop is collections. what i decided to work with is a collection of old unused diaries i have kept at the top of a cupboard in my room for some time now. looking at the pile, then through it, i will be looking at a history of my family's quotidian (through interviews with the supposed owners/potential users of the diaries), a glimpse at my appearance at the random(?) dates page-marked in the different diaries, and snapshots of Beirut at these dates (through looking at newspaper archives in the language(s) of the respective diary).
the outcome of the project (medium, format, etc.) is still unclear.
